Edin Sprečo

Edin Sprečo (born April 14, 1947 in Sarajevo) is a former Bosnian footballer.
He started playing football for FK Željezničar youth team when he was 12. At the age of 17, he made his debut for the first team. He scored two goals in that game and it was clear that he would become a great player. He played 234 league games and scored 75 goals for FK Željezničar. He was a member of the team that won Yugoslav championship title in 1972. In 1975, he turned 28 and he was allowed to go abroad, as it was prohibited for under-28 players to leave the domestic clubs at the time. He went to Dutch NAC Breda. He also played for French club Stade Rennais FC.
He has earned 3 caps for the Yugoslavia national football team and scored two goals.
